I worked for both large and small consulting firms before forming Environmental Services Associates, LLC. With large consulting firms, I saw first hand how lethargic the decision making process could be. The emphasis and focus was more on billable hours than problem solving. Sometimes the best interest of the client would get lost in the process. When I worked for the small consulting and contracting firms, the technical expertise for executing a specific job was at times lacking.
I formed ESA with the idea in mind that a smaller firm with a high level of expertise, managing both consulting and contracting functions, could better control the quality of work. The emphasis would be placed on problem solving and placing clients’ needs first.
